The award-winning gameshow “Jeopardy!” is inviting college undergraduate students from across the country to test online for a chance to participate in its annual “Jeopardy!” College Championship.
The online college contestant test will take place 8 p.m. Wednesday and feature “a wide range of topics,” according to a news release.
The winner of the “Jeopardy!” College Championship will win $100,000, while second and third place offer winnings of $50,000 and $25,000.
After taking the online test, students who pass will be invited to an in-person interview in one of several cities across the country, according to the release.
Last year’s winner was Monica Thieu, a psychology sophomore from the University of North Texas who became the youngest College Championship winner at the age of 18. Second- and third-place winners hailed from Goucher College and Vanderbilt University, respectively.
“Jeopardy!” has won the most awards of any show on television, as listed in Guinness World Records, and boasts a viewership of 25 million each week.
