Women’s and Gender Studies is hosting its second Spring 2009 Brown Bag Luncheon Series today on campus, from noon to 1:15 p.m., in 210 Stubbs Hall.This one-hour luncheon series will feature a lecture from Challen Nicklen, Visiting Assistant Professor in Women’s and Gender Studies, titled “The Shifting Rhetoric of Politics in the United Nations Conferences on Women.””There were four particular political events that were significant in the United Nations,” Nicklen said. “My lecture will focus on what the women were trying to do and what they were talking about at the conferences.”This event is free and open to the public.——Contact Kimberly Brown at [email protected]
