The College of Art and Design will present an exhibition that will bridge the gap between graphic design and fine art.”Inspire: The Confluence of Art and Design” by John Mark Lawler, fine arts graduate student, will be on display from March 29 to April 9 with a reception April 1 in Room 104 of the Art and Design Building.”The exhibition is attempting to show that graphic design can, and sometimes should, be considered as much fine art as communication,” Lawler said in a March 16 University news release. “I am attempting to show that graphic design does not have to be simply commercial, but can in fact be fine art as well.”The exhibit is free and open to the public.
