LONDON (AP) — Scottish police say they are investigating reports a woman was raped while participating in anti-capitalist protests in Glasgow.
Strathclyde Police said Wednesday that shortly after midnight the force received a report that a serious sexual assault against a 28-year-old woman took place in a tent in the city’s George Square.
Occupy Glasgow organizers said in a statement posted online that they were “deeply shocked and saddened by the tragic allegation” of an assault in their camp.
