The No. 12 LSU men’s golf team is in a four-way tie for fourth place after the second round of the John Hayt Invitational from Sawgrass Country Club in Florida.
The Tigers are 11-over for the tournament after finishing the day with a team score of 9-over 297. That leaves LSU 28 strokes behind North Florida, which the leads the field.
Sophomore Curtis Thompson leads the Tigers at even-par for the tournament after shooting a 1-over 73 in the second round. Sophomore Stewart Jolly matched Thompson at 1-over on the day and is at 7-over for the tournament.
North Florida senior Kevin Phelan leads the tournament at 13-under overall.
The final round will begin Tuesday morning.
Heavy rain cancelled the LSU women’s golf team’s second round at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate in New Orleans.
The final round will start on Tuesday at 8 a.m., weather permitting.
