While Ed Harcourt’s latest album is not something everyone will pick up and play over and over again, it’s still worth a listen.

Filled with lively piano pieces, Harcourt has released something that has a vibe similar to some of the songs Adele released last year on “21.”

Since almost the entire album is Harcourt playing the piano while singing, it may not be for everyone, especially since the biggest hits are often electronic. However, this does not take away from the singer-songwriter’s work here.

It is a solid album lyrically and some of his piano work is incredibly catchy. No matter what your musical preferences are, give “Back Into the Woods” a listen.
