LSU got its season back on track Saturday night, beating Texas A&M 34-10 in Tiger Stadium.
The Tigers’ defense stepped up to the occasion, holding the explosive Texas A&M offense to just 299 total yards.
Senior LSU safety sealed the game for the Tigers with an interception at the goal line with six minutes to go in the contest.
Texas A&M sophomore quarterback Johnny Manziel was once again limited by the LSU defense, finishing the night with only 224 passing yards. Manziel did throw 51-yard strike to senior wide receiver Derel Walker for the Aggies only touchdown of the game.
LSU freshman cornerback Rashard Robinson intercepted Manziel on third and long in the third quarter for his first career interception. The interception was Manziel’s 12th of the season.
The Tigers pounded the Aggies on the ground in the second half, and finished the game with 314 rushing yards.
Junior running back Terrence Magee led the Tigers on the ground with xxx yards to go along with a 1-yard touchdown plunge in the first half.
LSU was able to throw the ball when it needed to as well, with junior quarterback Zach Mettenberger connecting with junior wide receiver Jarvis Landry for two touchdowns.
