The roster for the inaugural LSU sand volleyball team is set and is headlined by fifth-year senior Meghan Mannari.
Mannari joins Rachel Barber, Victoria Boraski, Kaitlin Hatcher and Emma Hiller as members of LSU’s newest varsity sport. Indoor coach Fran Flory will also coach the sand program.
Mannari, a four-year letter winner for the LSU indoor volleyball team from 2009-2012, is allowed one year of eligibility for sand volleyball due to a NCAA rule concerning athletes playing multiple sports. She excelled at the libero position in the indoor game, registering over 1,000 digs.
The Tigers begin play in March and will travel to tournaments around the Southeastern Conference as well as host a tournament at Mango’s Beach Club in East Baton Rouge.
