LSU sophomore running back Jeremy Hill’s legal fate has finally been determined, as he received continued probation and 40 hours of community service.
Hill and his defense attorney, Marci Blaize, scheduled a status conference with Judge Bonnie Jackson Monday afternoon.
According to The Advocate, Hill’s probation curfew will remain, but he will have a football activities exception.
The sophomore’s playing fate has yet to be determined, though, as LSU coach Les Miles can still choose to suspend Hill.
This all came after Hill pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery charges stemming from an April bar fight.
“I feel like it was a stupid mistake,” said junior running back Kenny Hilliard. “Everybody makes mistakes. He’s going to learn from this, and it won’t happen again.”
Hill’s playing status has yet to be determined, though an announcement could come later today.
“He got with the wrong crowd of people, and it kind of misled him to do that,” Hilliard said. “We’ll welcome him back if Coach Miles lets him.”
Miles has a scheduled press conference at 5:35 p.m. today.
