The LSU track team swept two events at the Texas A&M Triangular Meet this weekend in College Station, Texas, with the Lady Tigers taking the women’s team title.
Senior Kimberlyn Duncan won her 19th consectutive 200-meter race in NCAA competition while sophomore Aaron Ernest won the men’s 200-meter title, setting a personal record of 20.79 seconds. Sophomores Tori Bliss and Rodney Brown won the shot put event for the women’s and men’s teams, respectively.
Senior Charlene Lipsey won the mile race, junior Keri Emanuel won the triple jump and junior Denise Hinton took the title in the weight throw, all contributing to the championship.
The men’s team placed third behind Texas A&M and Arkansas.
