The University announced Friday the 12 students invited to the Transition Advisory Board’s subcommittees. Among the students are six undergraduates from the University’s main campus.
Two Baton Rouge undergraduate students were invited to the Student Experience subcommittee, but only six out of 13 people named to the committee are LSU System students.
There are also two LSU System undergraduate or graduate students on the Academic subcommittee, two on Finance and Revenue, one on Technology and Operations, two on Research and Discovery and six on the Student Experience subcommittee.
The Transition Advisory Team consists of 10 people — none of whom are students or faculty members — tasked with studying the reorganization of the LSU System and reporting to the LSU Board of Supervisors about plans to reorganize the system.
Administrators have insisted students will be able to provide input in the reorganization process via membership on subcommittees.
