There is an ongoing investigation into the armed robbery that occured on campus early Saturday morning near the West Campus Apartments.
According to LSUPD captain Cory Lalonde, the victim — who is not affliiated with the University— reported the incident just before 2 a.m.
The victim reported two black males got out of an older model maroon vehicle and approached him with a gun before one of them struck the victim in the face.
After stealing the victim’s wallet, the suspects left the area in the maroon car on Aster St.
“The investigation is ongoing,” Lalonde said in an email. “Anyone that may have any infomation that will help indentify the suspects are asked to contact LSUPD at 225-578-3231.”
