Sophomore pitcher Cody Glenn was returned to the active roster for the this weekend’s Super Regional match-up against Oklahoma.
“[Glenn] has been returned to active status on our roster, and he will be eligible to participate in the Super Regional,” said coach Paul Mainieri. “He delivered a sincere apology to his teammates, and they voted unanimously to have him back with us. We’ll move forward with [Glenn] as a part of our team and turn our attention toward Oklahoma.”
Glenn has been the Tigers third starter for most of the season, but was suspeneded for Regional action after a unspecified violation of team rules.
Senior picher Brent Bonvillain filled in for Glenn during the Regional and acquited himself well in the final game of the weekend, pitching 5.1 innings of one-run ball to help the Tigers defeat University of Louisiana-Lafayette.
