What they say about LSU: Senior Vice President of External Affairs for the Cotton Bowl Michael Konradi said as of Thursday afternoon, no deal between the Cotton and Outback Bowls about swapping teams has been made, but didn’t rule out the possibility of a deal being struck following the completion of championship week.
“I can’t tell you [a deal] is part of the equation right now. Again, I’ll tell you right now, LSU is a part of our board, it’s just a matter of once all the cards are dealt Sunday, what makes the most sense.”
Konradi also said LSU having played in Dallas three times since January 2011 is a consideration, but not the most important consideration for the Cotton Bowl.
“You certainly look to catch a team on the way up instead of on the way down, from our perspective.”
