LSU senior forward Theresa Plaisance added one more accolade to her Lady Tigers’ résumé Tuesday when the Associated Press named her to the All-Southeastern Conference Second Team.
Plaisance finished the regular season leading the team in points (484) and rebounds (237), and she ended with 44 blocks, the second highest on the squad. The New Orleans native averaged 15.6 points per game and hit 43.8 percent of her shots from the field.
She only picked up her production during SEC play – she made 43.9 percent success from the field, scored 283 points, had 122 rebounds and finished with a team-high 17.7 points per game.
The senior finished in the top 10 in the conference in scoring, rebounding (offensive and defensive), field goal percentage, free throw percentage and blocks.
Plaisance will get another chance to make her presence felt when the Lady Tigers battle Georgia Tech on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. in the PMAC for the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
