Rank: A
While Pharrell Williams was out of the music game for some time, he certainly came back with a bang. The new album, “GIRL,” hits all the right notes. It could be compared to the recent releases of Justin Timberlake with “The 20/20 Experience” or Robin Thicke and “Blurred Lines.” Every track plays with extended instrumental parts that add depth to what could have been just a typical pop/R&B album. It’s hard to pick favorites on this album, since it’s best to listen to all the way through, but songs “Gush” and “Gust of Wind” cannot be skipped. Collaboration tracks are also included on the album, one with Timberlake himself and another with Alicia Keys. Both were great artist choices and the songs are great as well. “GIRL” is a can’t miss album and will leave you incredibly “Happy” by the end.
