The LSU Police Department is currently investigating a suspicious package near Thomas Boyd Hall.
Adam Kirschbaum, petroleum engineering sophomore, said there were multiple boxes in the area labeled “bomb.” He said he was evacuated around 3 p.m.
LSUPD spokesman Capt. Cory Lalonde said they have secured the area and are waiting on the Baton Rouge Police Department bomb squad to arrive on the scene.
Lalonde advised students not to crowd the area.
