LSU Police Department arrested a resident of Herget Hall Thursday afternoon on charges of “accessory after the fact to video voyeurism,” said LSUPD spokesman Capt. Cory Lalonde.
Kayla Nicole Crear, 19, was arrested by LSUPD at 4:30 p.m. Thursday after reports of an act of voyeurism late Wednesday night, Lalonde said.
Lalonde said a charge of accessory after the fact means that Crear is accused of assisting someone who committed video voyeurism after they committed it, but not of engaging in voyeurism herself. He said LSUPD has not made an arrest for video voyeurism yet, though they are pursuing a suspect and the investigation is ongoing.
Crear will be booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison following processing.
