The LSU baseball team received the No. 8 seed in this year’s national tournament, the NCAA announced during its the selection show Monday.
The Tigers (44-14-1, 17-11-1 Southeastern Conference) will host Southeastern Louisiana, Houston and Bryant in a double-elimination tournament. LSU, which won the SEC tournament last weekend, will kick off the regional against Southeastern Friday at 2 p.m.
The winner of the Baton Rouge regional will face the winner of the Rice (Houston) regional next weekend.  The Tigers will host the super regional if they advance.
