Baton Rouge’s Rickey Heroman’s Florist and Gifts prepare for Valentine’s Day almost an entire week before the actual day.
            Valentine’s Day is the busiest day for florists, and Rickey Heroman’s is no exception.
            The employee’s work several extra hours to allow them to finish the all flower arrangements they need.  Their nights can last up until two o’clock in the morning.
            Rickey Heroman’s will increase their deliveries from about 100 on a regular day to well over 1500 during the week of Valentine’s Day.
            The florists order about 11 or 12 thousand red roses and another four or five thousand colored roses to prepare themselves for the high demand.
            Rickey Heroman’s Florist and Gifts is located in Towne Center off Jefferson Highway.
