Former Baltimore Ravens middle linebacker Ray Lewis will be the headline speaker at this year’s LSU Football Coaches Clinic, according to a statement released Wednesday by sports information director Michael Bonnette. The clinic will be held in the PMAC from March 27-29.
Lewis, who finished his NFL career after the Ravens’ Super Bowl XLVII victory over the San Francisco 49ers in New Orleans two seasons ago, currently works as an NFL analyst for ESPN.
Lewis is regarded as one of the greatest linebackers in NFL history. He has been named to 10 All-Pro teams and 13 Pro Bowls. In 2000 and 2003, Lewis earned NFL Defensive Player of the Year honors, one of only six players in NFL history to win the award multiple times.
Along with Super Bowl XLVII, Lewis also led the Baltimore Ravens to a victory in Super Bowl XXXV, where the former Miami Hurricane was named the game’s Most Valuable Player.
Lewis will be joined by a group that includes New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Rob Ryan, Oakland Raiders special teams coordinator Bobby April and quarterback coach George Whitfield.
