After much delay due to winter weather conditions in Oklahoma, four-star defensive end Deondre Clark officially signed with LSU Monday.
Clark became the 23rd member of the signing class, and solidifies the Tigers class as one of the best in the country, after LSU’s class was ranked in the top-five of the nation.
The Douglass High School product’s signature had been rumored to be locked up since signing day, his announcement makes the news official.

Originally, Clark was scheduled to announce his decision at 2 p.m. on Feb. 5, but Oklahoma City area high schools were closed for the second consecutive day due to freezing temperatures, leaving Clark’s status up in the air.
Clark originally committed to LSU in June 2013, other programs — most notably his home state school of Oklahoma — continued their pursuit of the sought after defensive lineman.

Clark also visited with Arizona State, Oklahoma and Ole Miss, with Oklahoma remaining the main threat to LSU over his signature.
During his press conference on National Signing Day, LSU coach Les Miles refused to mention Clark by name, but did say “there’s one left to decide” when asked if his recruiting class was finished. Clark is ranked as the No. 24 defensive end prospect for the 2014 class.
During his announcment, Clark said he’s trying to get this brother, Steven Clark, to join him in Baton Rouge.
Steven Clark was dismissed from the Oklahoma State basketball team earlier this month.
