On Jan. 31 at 5:23 p.m., LSUPD officers were contacted by an employee of the LSU Reproductive Biology Center who said a suspect was trespassing on the grounds.
LSUPD identified the suspect as Brighton Heard, 30, of 10438 Springtree Drive, who worked for a private company located behind the Reproductive Biology Center, Lalonde said.

The Reproductive Biology Center is located in St. Gabriel and contains various forms of livestock on the grounds.
Heard admitted to being on the property, claiming he had access to the land near the property during weekends for hunting purposes, Lalonde said.
