LSU’s National Signing Day signings

Below are bios on each player from whom LSU has received a letter of intent Wednesday during National Signing Day.
Malachi Dupre 
No. 1 Wide Receiver (5-star)

Career stats: 1479 yards, 73 receptions, 22 touchdowns
Awards: 2013 First team All-State. 2012 First-team All-State. First team All-Metro selection as a junior. 2014 Under Armour All-American game selection
One of the nation’s most highly sought after wide receivers, Dupre fielded offers from LSU, UCLA, Alabama, Ole Miss and Florida State. Dupre is considered by many experts to be the missing piece for an LSU recruiting class that lost out on a lot of in-state talent.

Leonard Fournette

Awards: Consensus No. 1 overall recruit. 2012 First Team All-State. 2012 All-New Orleans Area Large Schools team selection. 2012 Gatorade Louisiana Football Player of the Year as a junior. 2014 Under Armour All-American game selection. MaxPreps Louisiana Preseason High School Mr. Football. 2013 Louisiana Gatorade Player of the Year. USA Today 2013 All-USA Offensive Player of the Year and first-team All-USA.

Jamal Adams

Awards: 2014 U.S. Army All-American Bowl selection. 2014 Under Armour All-American game selection.
Notes: Adams announced his commitment to “The University of LSU” at the Under Armour game. He would later apologize on twitter for the gaffe, but one of the nation’s best safeties is headed to Tiger Stadium in the hopes of filling the hole left by Craig Loston’s graduation.

Trey Quinn

Awards: 2014 U.S. Army All-American Bowl selection. 2012 First-team All-State selection. 2011 First-team All-State selection. 2013 USA Today first-team All-USA.
There wasn’t a whole lot of mystery in Quinn’s recruitment with the nation’s No. 3 wideout committing to LSU in August, but the Barbe product broke the national career receiving yards record during his senior season in Lake Charles.

Another early enrollee, Paris is a physical defensive back and has the tools to make an impact on the Tigers defense.

Awards: 2014 Under Armour All-American game selection
Washington has strong hands and won the skills competition at the Under Armour All America game. LSU already has tight end DeSean Smith who is looking to see more of the field in 2014 after being redshirted last season, but two, pass-catching tight ends could open up the middle of the field for the young LSU quarterback Anthony Jennings.
