After the conclusion of the Purple and Gold World Series, LSU baseball coach Paul Mainieri has made moves to cut his roster down to the 33-man limit that his team is allowed, according to The Advocate.
Mainieri said freshman pitcher Andrew Mitchell will transfer to Delgado Community College in the spring in hopes of further progressing to eventually make it back to Baton Rouge.
Mitchell’s transfer marks the third pitcher on the Tigers’ to leave the staff this fall.
Mainieri also said he has made some cuts to the roster as well. Mainieri cut both walk-on outfielder Turner Graham and senior pitcher Henri Faucheux.
Amidst the cuts and transfers that have come to fruition, Mainieri has added one player to his roster. Walk-on pitcher Ryan May will look to become a key piece in the Tigers’ bullpen when the spring rolls around.
