Senate candidates between Rep. Bill Cassidy, R-La., and Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-La.,will face off in a runoff election Dec. 6, according to multiple media reports.
The Louisiana Secretary of State precincts show close numbers between the pair both alternating for the lead.
As of 9:00 p.m. with 716 of 4018 precincts reported from the La. Secretary of State, Cassidy heads the race with 43 percent and Landrieu with 41 percent.
Former Gov. Edwin Edwards, D-La., and Garret Graves, R-La., will run off Louisiana’s 6th Congressional district race, according to WAFB.
La. Secretary of State precincts with 250 of 575 reported show Edwards in the lead for 30 percent. Graves trails behind with 28 percent.
At his election party, the former governor addressed his room full of supporters with confidence.
“On the 7th of Dec. I will address you as the congressman from the 6th district,” Edwards said.
