Lauryn Hill, one of the headliners at the Voodoo Music + Arts Experience, performed a surprisingly short set on Saturday night.
The singer was scheduled to hit the stage at 6:00 p.m., but an announcer with the festival informed the audience that she “got lost on her way from the hotel.”
Hill didn’t arrive on stage until forty minutes after her scheduled time.
After performing a few songs including “Killing Me Softly” and “Lost One,” Hill’s microphone was turned off unexpectedly. Immediately after, the stage lights were turned off as the singer and her band tried to continue their performance.
Update: Lauryn Hill will finish her set at 10 p.m. on the Flambeau stage according to a Voodoo representative.
