Following last week’s 17-0 loss in Fayetteville, the LSU Tigers are ready to rebound in a big way. In his Wednesday night press conference, LSU coach Les Miles announced that the quarterback battle would not be limited to just Brandon Harris vs. Anthony Jennings.
After disturbing tweets directed at Jennings due to his poor performance Saturday, Coach Miles announced that the QB battle is wide open.
“We’ve decided to explore different options at the Quarterback position, meaning we will be holding open try outs for the LSU student body prior to our game at Texas A&M on Thanksgiving,” Miles told the media before adding “If y’all think you can do better, let’s see it.”
The Mad Hatter’s statement has elated armchair quarterbacks across campus while simultaneously ringing the alarms for any knowledgeable football fans. Most importantly, that dude who was the Quarterback at your high school and could’ve DEFINITELY gone pro had he not broken his ankle as a senior could now be the hero that he still won’t shut up about nearly 5 years later.
The try-outs will be held at the Football Operations facility on Nicholson all week, so tell your arrogant cousin Donnie from Ponchatoula who works as a waiter at Buffalo Wild Wings to strap on his helmet and pads because he may be the next Tigers QB.
