One day you’re sweating; one day you’re cold. It’s all because the weather in Louisiana is unpredictable.
This past week saw temperatures ranging from the high 20’s to mid 70’s. This cold snap had students wondering if this winter would resemble last winter’s when the campus was shut down for multiple days due to snow.
But after seeing that the forecast promises temperatures as high as 77 degrees, students are wishing that the weather would make up its mind.
“For the most part, the weather is super bipolar. Yesterday it was hot, it was really hot, and then it was raining and now it’s cold,” explains Kyrie Collins, an LSU student.
John Champagne, a freshman at LSU, agrees. He states that he’s always, “Complaining about this bipolar, Louisiana weather.”
With the lower temperatures, students such as Alexis Brown and Christina Daigle, are looking at what they like about the colder weather.
“I love all the boots, the high socks with boot, different color scarves, the different color jackets. I feel like I get more of people’s personalities in their outfits,” states Brown.
While Daigle agrees that this weather issue all comes back to clothing styles, she acknowledges that not everything about colder weather is positive.
“I hate the cold. I can’t think in the old. I feel like I can’t function in the cold properly,” expresses Daigle.
No matter what, students seem to be in for a roller coaster ride of temperatures this winter.
