“Anthony Jennings needs to get better. We insist on it,” Les Miles said following Jennings’s three-turnover night against New Mexico State.
LSU won, but sometimes a win over a non-conference team isn’t what Tiger fans are paying attention to. After LSU’s game against New Mexico State, the quarter back controversy remains.
With Anthony Jennings in for the Tigers, he threw zero touchdowns with three turnovers. But when Harris entered in the second quarter, he threw three touchdowns and ran for an extra two with zero turnovers.
There seems to be a pattern forming later in LSU’s games involving these quarterback switches.
Last week against Mississippi State, Harris entered the game and threw 140 yards for two touchdowns in the fourthquarter.
Harris says his main focus for now is to continue to improve to reach the team’s goal at the end of the season.
Coach Miles says he’s pleased with Harris’s performance against New Mexico State. It was announced Monday that Brandon Harris will in fact be the starting quarterback this Saturday against Auburn.
This should be a true test for Harris as Auburn is now ranked number five in the AP poll.
