BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) Grambling State, Louisiana Tech and LSU all scored important conference victories on Saturday and players from those schools won this week’s state player of the week honors from the Louisiana Sports Writers Association.
Grambling quarterback Johnathan Williams had a big game against Arkansas-Pine Bluff to earn Offensive Player of the Week, while Tech’s Terrell Pinson stood out earning not only state Defensive honors, but an ESPN helmet sticker as well after a win over UTSA. The special teams honor went to Tre’Davious White who had a punt return for a score in the LSU win over Kentucky.
