The LSU volleyball team defeated Baylor and the University of Texas at San Antonio on Friday to start their final weekend before Southeastern Conference play.
The Tigers (4-4) won in four sets, 25-23, 19-25, 28-26, 25-19, against Baylor (9-3) in the noon match.
Sophomore Briana Holman, junior Cati Leak and freshman Mimi Eugene each finished the match against the Bears with over ten kills.
Senior Malorie Pardo contributed 49 assists in the victory.
Not long after beating the Bears, the Tigers took down UTSA in four sets, 27-25, 21-25, 25-20, 25-18.
Holman again led the Tigers with 23 kills. Freshman Gina Tillis added 11 kills.
Pardo continued setting up her teammates in the second game of the doubleheader with a team-high 38 assists against the Roadrunners.
The Tigers will face Baylor again tomorrow at noon.
