Baton Rouge police arrested a 23-year-old man on attempted first-degree murder charges stemming from a Sept. 14 shooting behind Reggie’s Bar in Tigerland.
Jerome Lamar Verret, of 3026 Monroe Avenue, turned himself in to the 4th District precinct and was arrested at 12:59 p.m. Monday after a warrant was issued for his arrest on Sept. 18. He was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish jail, according to book records.
Verret is charged with shooting two men, a 20-year-old and a 23-year-old, both of whom sustained non-life-threatening injuries — one in the abdomen and another in the leg.
The shooting was believed to be a result of an argument among the men.
