The Tri Delta Chapter at LSU started off the year with a new pledge class and a new song.
The seniors of Tri Delta wrote a “Boys Bid Night song” which used derogatory language toward women in other sororities.
“I’m kind of shocked they would say any of these things about other sororities because I thought we were one big community,” Elizabeth Borda said.
The song went viral on social media, after it was posted to an anonymous talking forum called Greek Rank on August 25.
When asked, many sorority women refused to comment to reduce negative attention. But it did not stop sorority member Elizabeth Borda.
“It disappoints me that the seniors would do this I understand you are all Seniors and rolling out of LSU but don’t make fun of other sororities”
As far as punishment goes, Director of Greek Life Angela Guillory says there will be none.
“People already know that this is in poor taste and when you work with students and student organizations you want to say here is what you violated and give them the due process opportunity and those will probably be the conversations that start next week,” Angela Guillory said.
It’s up to the National Tri Delta Chapter to decide if the LSU Tri Delta’s should be punished for their song. Any rumors that said Senior Tri Delta’s are banned from sorority activities are false.
