All hail the queen! It’s Beyoncé’s birthday today aka an unofficial national holiday, so of course most of the country will be celebrating her throughout the day. 
Everyone knows Beyoncé is one of the most talented artists of our generation, but in addition to many of her iconic moments (i.e: Super Bowl XLVII halftime show, 2013 Presidential Inauguration, 2014 VMAs, etc.) there are also countless underrated moments that aren’t always noticed. 
This post will take you through just a few of those underrated moments (4 to be exact, because it’s Beyoncé and Beyoncé loves the number 4).
1. Fetus Bey 
Before she was the poised woman we know today, she was a 19-year-old who wasn’t afraid to cut up during interviews. If you check out this video from 2001, during an interview with her Destiny’s Child bandmates, baby Bey is seen chomping on grapes, being silly with the girls, and telling the interviewer how she honestly felt about someone else winning a Grammy that she was nominated for. Also, her country accent is thicker than ever (“Out that H-town, coming, coming down…”)

2. “American Idol” Behind the Scenes
In 2011, before a performance on “American Idol,” Beyoncé was caught on camera rehearsing in the dressing room. What makes this video so amazing is how pure it is: no microphone, no speakers, no large venue, just a singer and a piano. What’s even better is that Beyoncé’s hubby, Jay-Z is the one who captured the moment.

3. Concert bloopers
From wardrobe malfunctions to her hair getting stuck in a fan, yes, even Beyoncé is prone to imperfection. The best part about these mishaps is how easily she shakes them off and moves on with the show.

4. Bey-good
Oddly, Beyoncé’s philanthropic work such as her #BeyGood initiative doesn’t get nearly as much coverage in the media as the pregnancy rumors or her alleged marital troubles. The singer has partnered up with several organizations such as the Houston Food Bank and the Make-A-Wish foundation in order to use her influence to make a difference.

So, there you have it. Just a few of the underrated moments that only add the the flawlessness that is Beyoncé.
