Let’s get one thing straight: female musicians are not a novelty, and they should not be categorized into an individual genre. However, we can’t deny that women are highly underrepresented in the music industry. That’s why I’m highlighting music made by women every Thursday night 9-11 on my brand new show, FemFM. We’ll even go beyond music to discuss women’s issues and current events! And just to emphasize that “lady music” is not a real genre, each show will have its own theme.
