According to a report by Ross Dellenger of The Advocate, LSU safety Jalen Mills’ arraignment has been set for Oct. 14, per court documents.
Mills is charged with simple battery stemming from an incident in May when he allegedly struck a woman at his apartment complex.
The court date falls on the Tuesday after LSU travels to Gainesville and take on Florida. Judge Richard “Chip” Moore will preside over the arraignment.
Mills was arrested in June on a charge of second-degree battery, a felony, but East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney Hillar Moore charged him with the misdemeanor.
The junior safety started the first two games for No. 10 LSU, intercepting a pass in the season-opening win against Wisconsin in Houston.
