Alex Zhang Hungtai, AKA Dirty Beaches, is a prolific Taiwanese musician who makes noisey, experimental music and is based in Montreal.
After building a strong following thanks to live shows and several releases on small cassette labels (all of which are available on his bandcamp page), Alex released his “debut” album on Zoo Music entitled Badlands.
In 2013, he released a follow-up double LP called Drifters/Love Is the Devil and began to tour with other musicians as opposed to his one-man-band approach in the past.
