Jack White, born John Anthony Gillis, formed The White Stripes in 1997, along with wife Meg White. After their marriage ended, White went on to form his next project, The Raconteurs, in 2005. White formed his third band, The Dead Weather, along with The Kills’ front woman Allison Mosshart, Raconteurs bassist Jack Lawrence, and Dean Fertita of Queens of the Stone Age.
