LSU defensive coordinator John Chavis has been contacted by Texas A&M about filling the team’s vacant coordinator position, The Advocate’s Ross Dellenger reported Sunday night.
The sixth-year coach has not signed a new contact extension offered by LSU, according to the report.
Under Chavis’ guidance, the Tigers boasted the No. 1 total defense in the Southeastern Conference in 2014.
