Saturday, Dec. 6 the Burger King on Highland Road shut its doors after an armed robbery.
Around 11 p.m. Cpl. Don Coppola, Baton Rouge Police spokesman, said two men entered the restaurant, hooded and wearing bandanas, and stole an undisclosed amount of money.
Coppola said one suspect was armed, but no was injured as both suspects fled after stealing from the cash register.
Later, officers were called over to the scene to begin investigations while employees left the restaurant.
“It sounds like once preliminary investigation was done they [employees] went about their business,” Coppola said.
