“The Hearst Award for Student Journalism is the highest honor in student journalism. Hundreds of schools submit thousands of pieces every year. This year, a package of mine won seventh place for the audio journalism category. This is not only my first Hearst Award, but the first for KLSU as well. I am so proud and so honored to have placed and to help bring such a coveted award to the station,” said Bridges.
