The NCAA Tournament is here, and Kim Mulkey and her LSU Tigers will be a No. 3 seed in this year’s bracket.
LSU women’s basketball will take on Rice in the opening round of the tournament at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

With a win in the first round, LSU will then take on the winner of No. 6 seed Louisville, and No. 11 seed Middle Tennessee State.
LSU finished its regular season on an eight-game win streak and won its first two matchups in the SEC Tournament over Auburn and Ole Miss.
However, the Tigers faced their first loss in 10 games with a 7-point loss to South Carolina.
Having competed until the end for an SEC championship, the Tigers look to prove themselves and fulfill the potential many believe they’ve had from the start of the season.
Last time LSU made a run in the NCAA Tournament, it couldn’t have gone any better. With big shoes to fill this season, the team looks to make another trip to the Final Four.
Like last season, that journey starts in Baton Rouge, and Mulkey and her team hope that the Tiger faithful can catapult them back to the Sweet 16 and beyond.
