Atkinson Hall on LSU’s Baton Rouge campus closed Tuesday afternoon following a sewage backup affecting building’s pipes, according to LSU Executive Director of Facility and Property Oversight Tammy Millican.
Staff and students were evacuated following reports of a foul odor within the building.
Facility services has responded to the scene and are working on clearing the backup and sanitizing the area.
There is no current estimate for when the hall will reopen.

I wasn’t really involved in high school, so I wanted to get involved with something meaningful in college and the Reveille was the perfect place to do that.
