What is Mardi Gras?
Well, I could tell you its translation from French or about it being the day before Lent starts, but I won’t do that.
Mardi Gras is a time for friends, family and strangers to gather in the streets, cook on a little grill near the streetcar line, play toss for hours, blast music way too loud, drink all day, eat an obscene amount of king cake and, of course, enjoy parades. So, I hope that answers your question.
