Global Game Jam | LSU Digital Media Center Theater
Global Game Jam is an event taking place across the world in various locations. Students will participate in a 48-hour session where they will design and develop several video games while hearing from professionals in the field. The game jam’s theme reveal will begin at 5 p.m. in the LSU Digital Media Center Theater on 340 E. Parker Blvd. Tickets are $30 a person and can be purchased here.
Baton Rouge Haunted History Tour | Red Stick Adventures
Experience haunted sites and spooky tales as you walk and ride the historic areas of Baton Rouge. The Baton Rouge Haunted History Tour is a 2-hour bus tour that will drop you off at several locations to walk around the most well-known haunts in the city. This tour takes place at Red Stick Adventures from 7–10 p.m. and is $39 for children and $49 for adults. Participants can meet their tour guide at 300 Lafayette St. Tickets can be bought here.

LSU Ballroom Club Country Swing | Vieux Carre Room
Join the Ballroom Club for country swing dance lessons from 6–8 p.m. in the Vieux Carre Room. No dance partner or dance experience is required. After the country swing lesson, social dance hour begins, and different ballroom and partner dances will be taught.

Queen’s of Louisiana presents Taylor Swift Trivia Series | Tap65
Queens of Louisiana and AK Swifties is hosting a Taylor Swift Trivia Series event for all the Swifties at Tap65. They will quiz players on their knowledge of Taylor Swift as drag queens put on Swift-inspired performances. Taylor Swift themed cocktails as well as Indian inspired food will be available for purchase. The event is from 7–9 p.m. at 515 Mouton St. Suite 103. Entry is free and trivia seating is first come first serve.
Delete Comedy Open Mic Night | The Station Sports Bar & Grill
Delete Comedy will be hosting an open mic night at 8 p.m. at The Station located at 4608 Bennington Ave. Comedians new and experienced are given the opportunity to take the stage. Sign-ups start at 7:30 p.m. and the order and length are determined by the number of participants who show up.
DIY Mini Watercolors | LSU Library Lobby
LSU Libraries will be hosting a watercolor painting event in the Main Library lobby from noon–2p.m. Enjoy painting with other students and learn about all the services that LSU Libraries has to offer.

Mardi Gras Beaded Jean Jackets with The Hope Shop | DIY Disco Crafts & Cocktails
DIY Disco is collaborating with The Hope Shop for a night of crafting Mardi Gras-themed beaded jean jacket. They will have a large selection of jean jackets with sizes from XS to 3X. Participants are also welcomed to bring their own jean jacket. The remaining money from the tickets will help support the Hope Shop’s mission. This event runs from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at 3101 Government St. Tickets are $65 and can be bought here.
Mardi Gras Lady Painting Class | Painting and Pinot
Painting and Pinot is hosting a BYOB painting class where adult participants can bring their favorite beverage and create their very own “Mardi Gras Lady.” Artists will be there to help participants as needed. Skill level is beginner and all ages are welcome. This event runs from 7–9:00 p.m. at 7248 Perkins Road. All supplies with be provided. Tickets are $35 and you can buy them here.

King Cake Mardi Gras Door Hanger | Create Studios
Create Studios is hosting a Mardi Gras door hanger making class where participants can add their own personality to their home’s front door. Participants are given a wooden king cake and can enhance it with wooden text and paint colors. This event is from 6–8:00 p.m. at 546 Bienville St. and tickets can be found here for $35.

Spanish Town Parade Flockin’ Sip & Paint | Martin Wine & Spirits
Martin’s is hosting a flamingo door hanger paint party where every participant gets to use their creativity to make their own hanger. A variety of wine is provided as well as all supplies and a variety snacks. No experience necessary. The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. at 6463 Moss Side Lane and tickets are $45 and can be purchased here.
Mardi Gras Mambo | North Boulevard Town Square
Spend your Saturday running a mile, 10k or 15k in downtown Baton Rouge at the Mardi Gras Mambo. All races start and end in the North Boulevard Town Square, and events begin as early as 8 a.m. Entry costs are $25-$60. More information can be found here.

King Cakes and Bingo | Eloise Market and Cakery
Eloise Market is hosting a king cake making class for all ages. Participants are also welcomed to play bingo with fun prizes for winners while waiting for the king cakes to rise. During the class, participants can learn how to roll their own king cake, pick their own filling and decorate it to bring back home. This event runs from 9:30–11:30 a.m. and 3–5 p.m. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased here.
CAAWS Mystic Krewe of Mutts Parade | North Boulevard Town Square
The Capital Area Animal Welfare Society is celebrating their largest annual fundraiser with the Mystic Krewe of Mutts Parade. Running from 10 a.m.–4 p.m., this event will begin with Bark in the Park in Galvez Plaza with many local vendors. At 11 a.m. there will be a Baton Rouge Police Department K-9 demonstration, followed by a dog costume contest. The parade lineup with begin at 1:30 p.m. at 222 N.
