LSU administration sent a mass email Tuesday night saying school on Wednesday would be delayed until 12:30 p.m. due to “winter weather conditions.”
“All classes and activities scheduled to begin prior to 12:30 p.m. are cancelled.”
The email went on to clarify that the delayed start would not affect classes in the LSU Online program and that the Law Center and Veterinary School would communicate their plans for Wednesday separately.
The University Laboratory School and the LSU Early Childhood Education Laboratory Preschool plan to close all day, according to the email.
A “Hard Freeze Warning” from the National Weather Service will remain in effect until 10 a.m. Wednesday, meaning temperatures are forecast to drop well below freezing, in the low to mid-teens.
LSU Residence and Dining Halls will remain open, according to the email from LSU administration. Information on how the delay will affect the LSU bus system can be found on the Parking and Transportation Services website.
