Is there any better way to get all your holiday shopping done than to support local artists just a short drive from LSU’s campus?
No! Mid-City Artisans and Mid-City Merchants will be putting on their annual White Light Night Art Hop for the fall season this Friday from 6-10 p.m. It will span Jefferson Highway at Goodwood Boulevard straight down to the intersection of Government and 14th Streets.
Everyone is invited to walk up and down the streets; there’s no admittance for this event.

From wonderful art to plenty of live music, Government Street will be busy with vendors from all over the Baton Rouge area with the intent of getting the community in the holiday spirit. More than 50 of the businesses along the strip will be open for the night offering unique foods and special drinks.
Guests will be able to meet the artists behind the modern styles of the city and have the opportunity to purchase from each individual. Mid-City Artisans and Gallery 46 will be open to host these artists in their space.
The full list of participants can be found on the Mid-City Merchants website.
Stay tuned for the Reveille’s coverage of White Light Night.
