The Untold Story of Japanese American Internment in Louisiana
LSU librarians Hayley Johnson and Sarah Simms have recently released “Beneath Heavy Pines”, a book that delves into the history of Camp Livingston, a Japanese internment camp in central Louisiana. Johnson and Simms will be hosting a book talk at Hill Memorial Library at 5:30 p.m.
Baton Rouge Zydeco vs. Columbus River Dragons

Baton Rouge Zoo will be hosting the Arts for Animals Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This specially curated arts exhibition will feature local artists and their works inspired by conservation, nature and wildlife. Regular zoo admission applies during this event.

Viewing at Highland Road Observatory
Highland Road Observatory will be hosting a viewing of the Uranus Opposition from 7:45 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. This is a rare opportunity to observe Uranus at its closest proximity to Earth this year. Admission is free.
