Hello, I’m Jacob Chastant, and I’m bringing comics back to the Reveille.
When coming up with an idea for a comic series, I looked through the Reveille archives to see what’s been done before. In the 1992 papers, I noticed comics were implemented regularly, ranging from political cartoons to advertisements. The Reveille often used panels from The Far Side, a popular one-panel series created by Gary Larson. I took inspiration from this and started a one-panel comic that focuses on all things LSU.
For the first edition, I wanted to point out how walking through construction on campus can be a maze. I focused in on Julian T. White Hall because it has had winding, scaffolded walkways since last year.
